Mountain Madness

Mountain Madness starts the high school year off with an all division retreat to the mountains. This is an opportunity for the students to bond, discuss expectations for the upcoming year in terms of conduct and activities. It is a wonderful opportunity for faculty and students to get to know one another in an informal setting.

Mountain Madness was a success in the fact that it brought everyone in the high school closer together as a group. The students learned things about themselves and their friends. They were given lots of free time to do things such as play ping pong, go out on the lake and even dive into the mudpit. Students especially enjoyed the bonfire and the rides up to the top of the mountains where one could see North and South Carolina, as well as Georgia. Special meetings were held each of the three days to inspire the students for the upcoming year. Everyone who went on this wonderful trip to the mountains of South Carolina came back with a smile and a little something learned.
