high school

As part of a 4K-12th grade institution, the High School at Aiken Prep is unique. There are countless opportunities to share, learn, and flourish as we cross over among primary, elementary and middle school communities.

The primary commitment of the High School is a strong academic College Preparatory program designed to equip our students for the challenges of college and beyond. Our curriculum emphasizes the mastery of academic and critical thinking skills. In addition, an accepting and cooperative atmosphere fosters inquiry and curiosity, instills a love for learning, and helps develop a keen sense of self-worth.

Students are expected and encouraged to achieve their potential through both traditional and innovative programs. They are challenged in and out of the classroom to lead, to serve, to make decisions, and to accept responsibility. The Aiken Prep High School experience contributes to the social, physical, and moral development of each student, reinforcing the values of integrity, respect, generosity, sportsmanship, and responsibility.

Although our academic program is rigorous, our faculty remains very supportive; helping every student live up to the expectations of the curriculum, and encouraging breadth and depth in all academics and activities. The supplemental learning program at Aiken Prep offers strategies for those students who need additional academic support. The program is individualized for each student and scheduled during the school day. Students enrolled in this program have one- on -one sessions with on- site staff up to five days a week.

Our High School is more than a school; it is a home where young people strive to realize the best of their capabilities. We give our students confidence in doing, encouragement in trying, praise in succeeding, discipline when needed, but love and friendship always. This is Aiken Prep…
