Financial Information 2012-2013
As an independent school we rely on tuition, fees, and fund raising to cover expenses. Your tuition dollars cover approximately 80% of the total operational expenses that provide students the best curricular and extra-curricular opportunities available. Aiken Prep supports an aggressive scholarship/grant program, and approximately 50% of our families receive scholarships/ grants that help off-set full tuition costs. Our best advice to interested families, "Do not assume that you would not be eligible for scholarships/ grants. As you shop for the right school for your child(ren), be sure to compare the cost of Aiken Prep's net tuition to the tuitions of schools who offer little, if any assistance." You will find that Aiken Prep offers one of the best educational values available in Aiken.

Scholarships and Grants:
Aiken Preparatory School is here to help as many families as possible afford an independent school education. Aiken Prep is committed to admitting students who can benefit from the program and the school provides a strong grant/scholarship program.
Similar to colleges and universities which utilize the FAFSA application form, Aiken Prep requires that grant/scholarship applicants first complete the SSS application form which is available through www.sss.nais.org. The SSS is the private school equivalent to the FAFSA.
Grants and Scholarships are determined by the family's ability to pay, and the scholarship funds that are available at the time of application.
Financial information submitted by parents during the grant/scholarship application process is held in confidence by the Financial Aid committee and retained on file for only a limited time to document possible IRS or other regulatory auditing.
Over 51% of Aiken Prep students receive scholarships/grants.
Aiken Prep also offers the Harrington Scholarship Program. To learn more click here.
